FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Do I need to have any previous experience to be accepted onto the course?
No, we do not require any previous experience or prior qualifications. The Style Coaching™ Diploma Course
teaches everything you will need to become a confident and competent Style Coach™; because of this we feel that no previous experience is necessary. The most important attribute for any practicing Style Coach™ is to have good rapport skills (we cover this on the course) and to have a passion for helping people to look and feel great.
Please note that the Diploma Course is presented in the English language. We do have a number of students studying at this time whose first language is not English and based on their own feedback so far they have found the course quite manageable, as the material has been designed to be as comprehensive as possible. Saying this, every student is completely unique and their English language skills may be more or less developed… because of this, we feel that it wouldn’t be fair for us to say for definite whether the course would be suitable for you or not, as you yourself will know better than anyone what will be possible for you at this time.
We would be delighted to have the opportunity to work with you at a pace that you could manage and would be happy to explain in further detail any points that you may have difficulty understanding to make sure that you get the best benefit from your studies. Of course it is only realistic to anticipate that the course may present an additional challenge for you but we would be pleased to support you to the very best of our ability to complete the course if you feel it is the right decision for you. A good indication of whether you will be able to manage the course material would be if you are able to read and understand the information on our website as this is written very similarly to the Style Coaching™ course material
. Q. Am I too young / too old to study the course and become a Style Coach™?
We currently have Style Coaches™
between the ages of 18 to 68, and we believe that all ages have their own strengths and positive attributes to offer! We consider maturity to be a wonderful asset to a Style Coach™ as the more mature person has a huge amount of life experience to share with clients, particularly when looking at Style Coaching™ as a ‘holistic’ process. One of our most dynamic and stylish students was a lady in her late 60’s and she has gone on to become a truly inspirational Style Coach™! She had such wonderful rapport skills and was fantastic at helping people to feel instantly at ease! On the other hand, we have some amazing Style Coaches™ who are only in their early twenties but who are full of enthusiasm, energy and motivation.
We also find that there are clients of all ages in search of a Style Coach™, so it is great to have Style Coaches™ from every age group who are able to give their advice and guidance. From our experience, clients generally prefer to work with a Style Coach™ of their approximate generation, as they tend to feel more comfortable. So, there really is a Style Coach™ for every client and vice versa!Q. Do you provide training for men and women?
Yes, we most certainly do! We have both male and female students, although unfortunately our numbers of each sex are not as balanced as we would ideally like! Our male and female students work from the same course materials, as most male Style Coaches™ wish to work with both women and men, just as a female Style Coach™ usually would.
The Style Coaching™ Diploma Course
was written and designed with both male and female students in mind. The Style Coaching™ Course
has extensive training material written for male clients (and students alike), which would teach you all the various aspects of Men’s Styling (which is actually one of the fastest growing industries in the world at this time). There is a huge opening there for Style Coaches™ wishing to work with male clients, but also clients wishing to work with a male Style Coach™. There are a small number of chapters in the course which would be specifically aimed at female clients – in particular the Hair and Make-up chapters – however, the majority of the course material
is relevant and adaptable to both sexes, and indeed, the hair chapter contains some invaluable hair care advice which can be equally applied by a male client as a female client.
