In addition to becoming a member of the IASC
, a graduate of the Style Coaching Institute®
can also apply to become a member of AICI (Association of Image Consultants International) and can take the AICI FLC (First Learning Certification) Exam. The Style Coaching™ Diploma Course
covers content in the AICI Core Curriculum, which would more than prepare a candidate for First Level Certification, and Graduates can also prepare for the AICI FLC exam using the FLC Study Guide provided by AICI. The Style Coaching Institute’s diploma enables graduates of the Style Coaching Institute®
to confidently sit the AICI FLC exam, and if they wish they can aim to complete the AICI CIP (Certified Image Professional) and CIM (Certified Image Master) certifications in time also. Please note that the Style Coaching Institute® is not an AICI audited training provider.
A graduate of the Style Coaching Institute®
can also apply to become a member of FIPI (The Federation of Image Professionals International) if they wish and take the Masters Award as our Diploma course incorporates the core subjects included in the FIPI / City and Guilds FIPI Masters Award (Core subjects included in the FIPI Masters Award are: Color Analysis, Style Assessment for men and women, Tuition in Basic Cosmetic Application).
If it is a personal goal of any student to complete AICI exams or the FIPI Masters Award the Style Coaching Institute®
supports their goal 100%. The TFIC Masters Award can be taken once foundation training in the core subjects is completed (the Style Coaching™ Diploma Course
covers foundation training in the core subjects and much, much more!) but experience working with clients must also have been gained. The TFIC Masters Award is only open to members of TFIC and full details are given on joining. The Masters Award is not something you sit immediately you've completed your initial training. You work towards it over a period of time, building your expertise and experience of different types of clients and services. You can, however, start to prepare for it immediately after completing the Style Coaching™ Diploma Course
by using the guidelines for Assessment and Standards of Competence, which are sent to you if you choose to join FIPI. Additional help is also provided via Masters Awards Preparation Days held by FIPI, which give you an overview of the standards you are required to meet.
To be eligible to gain the Award you will need the following:
• Affiliate or Associate membership of FIPI
• Foundation training (such as the Style Coaching Institute™ Diploma)
• Experience of working in the image industry for at least 1 year
• Successful assessment of an Image Portfolio
FIPI welcome members, from the UK and overseas, at any stage of their career in image consultancy as well as stylists, personal shoppers and Style Coaches™. They also encourage members from affiliated sectors such as personal development, health and beauty and retail. Everyone joins FIPI as an Affiliate Member. They can then progress through the organisation by taking units of the FIPI / City & Guilds Masters in Image Consultancy to become an Associate Member (AMFIC) and then a Master (MFIC). With a combination of time and service to the image industry, a Master can then be awarded Fellowship of The Federation (FFIC). Please note that the Style Coaching Institute®
is not an FIPI audited training provider.
